Ethel Cain is the stage name of Hayden Silas Anhedönia, an American singer-songwriter born in Tallahassee, Florida, whose music combines indie rock, gothic folk, and ambient elements with Southern Gothic themes. She adopted the Ethel Cain name in 2019 and released her breakthrough debut album Preacher's Daughter in 2022, which reached the top ten of the US Billboard 200. She followed it with the drone-influenced Perverts and the album Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You, both released in 2025.
