Ellen Allien (born Ellen Fraatz) is a German electronic musician and producer from Berlin who works primarily in techno and IDM-influenced dance music. She founded the techno label BPitch Control in 1999, which went on to release early work by artists such as Modeselektor and Paul Kalkbrenner, and put out her debut album Stadtkind in 2001. She also collaborated with producer Apparat on the 2006 album Orchestra of Bubbles.
